A Chrome extension that finds recruiter emails on LinkedIn

The recruiter’s email is right there in the post.

PostToHired picks out every recruiter and HR email on the LinkedIn page you’re reading, writes an application for each one using your resume, and opens it in Gmail. You read it over and hit Send.

From a LinkedIn search to Gmail drafts and follow-ups, in about a minute and a half.

1 · Scan

Find recruiter emails in LinkedIn hiring posts

Search LinkedIn for posts like “java developer hiring”, scroll down so more posts load, and click Scan This Page. Every email in those posts is saved with the post it came from and a link back to it, so a week later you still know which job it was for.

  • Only real addresses. Each one is matched and checked, nothing is guessed.
  • Personal addresses (Gmail, Yahoo, Outlook…) are skipped when you save, so you keep the work emails.
  • Save twice on the same day and only the new emails are added.
  • Export to CSV or TXT, or copy them all at once.

2 · Write

Write it from your resume, or one email per post

In the Send tab, From my resume has the AI write your email from the resume you uploaded. Change anything you like and your edits save to My template automatically. For one recruiter in particular, click CustomSend next to their email and the AI reads their post as well.

  • Preview shows exactly what each person gets, with their name and company filled in.
  • CustomSend signs off with your own LinkedIn, GitHub or portfolio link.
  • Add a note for one email, like “mention my Python internship”, or use your own prompt.
  • Each CustomSend email is written once and kept. It’s only rewritten when you ask.

3 · Send

Opens as a draft in your Gmail. You press Send.

Today’s saved emails line up in the Send tab. Each click on Open Next in Gmail opens one filled-in draft in your own Gmail account, with your resume attached. Read it, then send it yourself.

  • Go person by person. Anyone you’ve already emailed is skipped, and sent ones get a ✓ once Gmail confirms.
  • A limit of 30 emails in any 24 hours keeps your sending steady.
  • Bold text, bullet points and links come through as real formatting.
  • Drafts with your resume attached also get a “View my resume” link.

4 · Follow up

Know who opened it, and follow up in the same thread

Pick the day you sent your emails and see what happened to each one. Click Follow up and Gmail opens that conversation, presses Reply and fills in your follow-up message for you to send.

  • Opened means they replied, clicked a link, opened “View my resume” or loaded the email’s images. Your own views never count.
  • Replies are noticed while your Gmail is open in this browser.
  • One follow-up per person every 24 hours, so you never nudge twice in a day.
  • Drafts you opened but never sent are marked “Draft · not sent”.

5 · Track

See what’s working

From saved to sent to opened to followed up, for the last week, the last month or any dates you pick, with a day-by-day table if you want the detail.

  • A bar for each stage, so you see at a glance where emails drop off.
  • Sent only counts emails Gmail confirmed as sent. Drafts you never sent are shown separately.
  • Day by day: how many you saved, sent, got opened and followed up on each date.
  • Your lists, resume and history are saved to your account.

That’s the whole loop: scan, write, send, follow up, track.

Getting started

About five minutes, most of it spent finding your resume PDF.

  1. Add PostToHired to Chrome

Clicking its icon opens a side panel next to whatever page you’re on.

  2. Sign in with Google and upload your resume

A PDF up to 5 MB. You only do this once.

  3. Scan a LinkedIn search

Search posts for your role plus “hiring”, scroll for a bit, then click Scan This Page.

  4. Open the drafts in Gmail

Read each one, fix anything you want, and send it yourself.

What to search for

Hiring posts with an email in them turn up in every field. Click one to open LinkedIn’s post search for it, newest first.

Add a city or “remote” to narrow it down: sales executive hiring mumbai

The fine print

Short version: you decide what gets sent, and when.

  • PostToHired never sends anything on its own. It opens drafts, and you press Send.
  • It reads LinkedIn, or any other site, only when you click Scan.
  • In Gmail, it fills in your drafts and checks who sent the messages in your inbox, to notice replies from people you emailed. It never reads what the messages say.
  • Any site other than LinkedIn needs your permission in Chrome first.
  • Delete my data, in Settings, wipes your lists, history, resume and settings from our server.

Questions

What is PostToHired?

A Chrome extension for job hunting on LinkedIn. It finds recruiter and HR emails in hiring posts, writes an application email for each one from your resume, and opens it as a Gmail draft. It also tracks opens and helps you follow up.

How do I find a recruiter’s email address on LinkedIn?

Search LinkedIn posts for your role plus “hiring” or “send your resume”. Scroll down so more posts load, open PostToHired and click Scan This Page. Every email in those posts is saved with the post it came from.

Does PostToHired send emails automatically?

No. It only opens drafts in Gmail. You read each one and press Send yourself.

How does the AI write the emails?

It reads the recruiter’s post and your resume, then writes a subject and body for that role with your own links in the signature. You can add instructions, use your own prompt, edit the result or have it rewritten before it opens in Gmail.

Is my resume attached to every email?

Yes. Upload a PDF (up to 5 MB) once in Settings and it’s attached to every draft, and the email also gets a “View my resume” link. You can remove the attachment if you want to send without it.

How do I know if a recruiter opened my email?

The Follow-up tab marks an email Opened when the person replies, opens “View my resume”, clicks a link in it, or their email app loads its images. Your own views never count. It’s approximate: some email apps block images, and replies are only noticed while your Gmail is open in this browser.

Is there a limit on how many emails I can send?

Yes, 30 emails in any 24 hours. The Send tab shows how many you’ve used and, at the limit, when the next one frees up.

Will it email the same recruiter twice?

It skips anyone you’ve already emailed, on any device where you’re signed in. If you open a draft for someone you’ve emailed before, it asks you first.

Why are some emails skipped when I save?

Personal addresses such as Gmail, Yahoo or Outlook are skipped, along with invalid ones. Hiring posts usually list a work email, and that’s the one worth writing to.

Can I use it on sites other than LinkedIn?

Yes. Add the site under Settings → Advanced and approve the permission prompt Chrome shows you.

Where is my data stored, and can I delete it?

When you sign in with Google, your saved emails, send history, resume and settings are stored on PostToHired’s server under your account. Delete my data in Settings removes all of it.

Try it on one LinkedIn search.

Install it, search for your role plus “hiring”, and see how many recruiter emails were sitting there.
